As a convenience to you, we provide an estimate of our prices in other currencies. This allows you to better compare prices and to get a better idea of what our services would cost you in your local currency. There are a wide range of currencies available to you. If for some reason you cannot find the currency that you want, please contact us and we will do our best to estimate what you need.
Please note that these estimates are intended to produce a reasonably close estimate to the actual cost to you in your local currency. However, we will need to charge you in Thai Baht. Credit card companies will do this conversion automatically at the time they post the transaction, using their exchange rate in effect at that point in time. Other payment methods are similar, with the institution using their exchange rate at the time of the transaction (bank money order, wire transfer, etc.) There can be differences between the rates shown here and those used by financial institutions, and from day to day. Generally these differences are small, depending which country you are in. We hope that the above helps explain why we use the term "Estimate".
Currently MtF Surgery Clinic does not accept traveler’s checks. Some of the local banks and money exchange kiosks at the airport can exchange them at fair rates. Please use only American Express Traveler’s Checks. Visa and MasterCard are accepted but a 3 percent surcharge is added. People with ATM cards on the cirrus network can use them in Thailand to have money dispensed in Baht. Check with your local bank to find out what fees are charged for international withdrawals.
The currency estimates we use are updated on a daily basis from the Bank of Thailand; a reputable source in the International Financial Community. For your information, the following is a listing of the exchange rates we have in effect at this time:
